I have spent nearly 35 years in the private student loan industry, starting with the very first private loans created for law school students. Over the years, I have managed nearly every aspect of private student lending, serving in senior management and executive officer positions for HEMAR Insurance Corporation of America (HICA), SallieMae, ReliaMax Surety Company, and CURevl, LLC. Over my career, I developed numerous programs for in-school undergraduate and graduate students, refinance loans for students who have completed school, and specialized programs to address unique markets and customized situations. I have worked with over 500 lenders and loan holders, both large and small, to originate and manage more than $20 billion in private student loans.
